Annalisa Piras and former editor of The Economist Bill Emmott, which explores the crisis facing Europe. Through case studies of citizens in different countries, the film explores a range of factors that have led to the present crisis, economic and identity challenges across Europe. High-level experts analyse how and why things are going so wrong. The film includes fictional scenes, set in a post-EU future, which feature archaeologist Charles Granda (played by Angus Deayton) travelling on a flight through a menacing storm, explaining to a child passenger what the EU was. Sombre, thought-provoking and witty, the film frames Europe through the eyes of those who have most at stake - the Europeans themselves.
The success of the Austin Powers movies rekindled an interest in everything groovy, swinging and mod. The Instro Hipsters a Go-Go responded in kind, serving up fun but mostly forgotten instrumentals from the '60s and early '70s that sound equally good in a bachelor pad or discotheque. Instro Hipsters a Go-Go, Vol. 3 is a Wall of Sound made up of twangy surf guitars, tumbling drums, flourishes of strings and brass, and funky organs, especially on classic instrumentals like "Cherokee" and "Raunchy," which have been given mod makeovers here by the Mitch Murray Clan and the Ray McVay Sound. Harry Stoneham's "Mogul/I Spy/The Avengers" nods to the spy movie and TV show fetish of the time, while Shocking Blue's "Ackla Ragh"'s trippy sitars allude to the '60s and '70s fascination with Indian music. Though it's more eclectic than some other volumes in this series, this collection makes for very entertaining mood music that still conjures up this swinging, stylish era.
Three young men, a scriptwriter, a producer and a director are called in by Benny U Murdoch, an exotic movie producer. He wants to make a new erotic movie starring a big woman - the "Eskimo Nell" of the title. However problems start from the beginning, the scriptwriter is a virgin, a lover of penguins and hasn't a clue on how to write an erotic movie, each of the three main backers want a different type of movie - a western, an erotic and a kung-fu movie with different people in the main part. However problems really start for the three when Benny runs off with all the money and they have to make three different versions of the same film and try not to let the backers and stars know what has happened.
Producer, musician, and founder of the world famous group "Yello", Carlos Perón has been for decades now one of the established greats in the European fetish scene. His numerous publications of erotic soundtracks since the early ‘nineties have made it impossible to imagine the erotic and fetish scene without the "high-priest" Perón. Avoiding every kind of cliché, Péron does not invoke crude provocation but applies his sounds economically and aptly, and thereby exactly satisfies the taste of erotic music’s fans. Perón has this to say: "I work in the same way as a film director. It starts with an idea of how a piece should sound. Various musicians I assemble around me then convert this idea perfectly into sound"…
One of Jerry Goldsmith’s greatest sci-fi/fantasy scores comes to CD in complete form: Twilight Zone: The Movie, the 1983 anthology film inspired by the classic Rod Serling TV series. No composer was better suited to score the big-screen Twilight Zone adaptation than Jerry Goldsmith. By the early 1980s Goldsmith was a master in every genre of film, from intimate dramas to large-scale adventures, but he was particularly noted for his landmark scores for science fiction: Planet of the Apes, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Alien and more—including Poltergeist (1982), for Twilight Zone: The Movie producer and co-director Steven Spielberg, and the original Twilight Zone series, for which Goldsmith scored classic episodes like “The Invaders”.
A young man falls in love with extra-liberated Giulia (who is no-one else but Serena Grandi, a legend in erotic cinema). Their relationship becomes very passionate, but Giulia has no limits in her sexual fantasies and games. Poor guy, will soon discover he'll have to pay a price for Giulia. He'll have to put up with all her strange and pervert desires, until of course he reaches his limits. Beautifully photographed, erotic movie. I highly recommend it to all fans of erotic cinema.
The film reveals an unfamiliar view of a modern European country - extremely rich in history and variety. The view from above reveals hidden patterns and rhythms, history that's invisible on the ground and cutting edge technologies. It is a breathtaking journey offering a new perspective.
